Stone quarries

The Brößnitz stone quarry belonging to Construction Materials Flechtingen is about 40 kilometres to the north of Dresden in Saxony. Its proximity to the Berlin-Dresden motorway puts it in an ideal location to serve our markets in Saxony, Brandenberg and Berlin.

In Finland, our subsidiary Interrock operates the Eurajoki greenstone quarry with its direct access to the Baltic coast, producing top quality products for the Finnish and Baltic region, while supplying washed crushed gravel and railway ballast for the German market.

Near to the Estonian capital of Tallin, our company Väo Paas produces bulk material in its own dolomite limestone quarry as the basis for ashlar products such as ground paving, steps and bricks.

Our Czernica stone quarry is in a region of Poland that has been producing grey granite for centuries. We offer a wide range of products under the Dornberg brand: paving stones, curb stones, blocks and many kinds of ashlar products are produced here for the Polish and German market. All resulting stone residues are processed as bulk goods for the domestic construction materials market.
